WHAT IS THE BRIDGE REALLY ALL ABOUT?
We have heard the name. We have seen the faces unveiled one after another. We have seen the ministers, the artists and the excitement building around October 23rd and 24th. But beyond the faces and the flyers, what exactly is The Bridge all about?
The Bridge is a Spirit-led worship movement connecting hearts to God and people to purpose. It is more than an event. It is a movement built around encounter, formation, unity and lasting Kingdom impact. Its vision is to see a united generation passionately worshipping Jesus and transforming nations through revival, excellence and Kingdom collaboration.
The name itself carries a deeper meaning. Sin created separation between God and humanity, but through Jesus Christ, the way back to God was restored. The Bridge speaks to that gospel truth, while also describing the practical assignment of the movement: connecting people, strengthening relationships and closing gaps that exist between individuals, churches, communities and generations.
One of the major burdens behind The Bridge is to help bridge the gap between the English-speaking and French-speaking Christian communities in Cameroon. We may speak different languages and come from different regions and backgrounds, but we are still one Body in Christ. The desire is to create an environment where this unity is not just talked about but actually experienced.
That is why the representation at The Bridge is important. The guest ministers include Papa Charles Citenga, Pst Israel Biaka, Dr Yembe and Dr. Carine Nwese Official, bringing representation from both the English-speaking and French-speaking communities. Alongside them are the vision bearers and founders of The Bridge: Pst. Joy Forze, Min Joel, Min. Prosper Menko, Min. Grace Forlu and Min. Pandita Njoh. Their coming together reflects the kind of Kingdom collaboration the movement is seeking to build.
But The Bridge is not only about worship nights. The movement is built on four main pillars: Worship, Discipleship, Evangelism and Kingdom Partnerships.
Through Worship, the goal is to create Christ-centered gatherings where people can encounter God, respond in faith and develop a deeper hunger for His presence.
Through Discipleship, The Bridge seeks to equip believers, worshippers and emerging leaders through teaching, training, mentorship and opportunities to develop both their gifts and character.
Through Evangelism, the vision goes beyond the church platform. The gospel is meant to reach people through outreach, testimonies, media, invitations to faith and practical engagement with communities.
And through Kingdom Partnerships, The Bridge wants to bring churches, ministries, artists, professionals, organizations and supporters together around shared Kingdom purposes rather than working in isolation.
The first flagship expression, The Bridge Cameroon 2026, will take place in Yaoundé on October 23rd and 24th at Harvest Outreach Ministries, Epson City Damas. Friday will be a worship evening bringing together worship ministers, musicians, churches, believers and seekers for worship, prayer and gospel proclamation. Saturday will be a seminar and workshop focused on spiritual growth, ministry excellence, discipleship, leadership, musicianship, collaboration and the responsible development of gifts.
The Bridge also has a bigger picture beyond Cameroon 2026. The movement is designed to grow through worship conferences, music and media, discipleship initiatives, training opportunities, evangelism and outreach, and strategic collaborations. The long-term vision is to build a globally recognized gospel movement that is rooted in Cameroon, relevant to Africa and the diaspora, and able to serve the wider global Church.
The movement welcomes youth and young adults, worshippers and gospel creatives, church and ministry leaders, families, communities, Christian organizations, partners, and the global Church and diaspora. Everyone has a place in the bigger picture, whether through ministry, partnership, resources, media, volunteering, prayer or simply showing up and participating.
And this is where the recent volunteer call also comes in. The Bridge is looking for people to serve across Spiritual Ministry, Guest Experience, Attendee Experience, Media & Communications, Operations & Logistics, Administration & Resources, and Safety & Security. The vision is not something a few people can carry alone. It requires people who are willing to contribute their gifts and serve together.
Ultimately, The Bridge is about closing gaps.
The gap between God and man through the gospel of Jesus Christ.
The gap between churches and denominations through Kingdom collaboration.
The gap between worship and everyday Christian living through discipleship.
The gap between the English-speaking and French-speaking Christian communities in Cameroon through intentional unity.
The gap between the Church and communities through evangelism.
And the gap between people and their God-given purpose by helping them discover, develop and use their gifts.
So yes, we have been watching the faces being unveiled. But the faces are only part of the story.
The bigger story is the vision.
