Joel Mbock is a Cameroonian gospel artist, worship leader, technology professional, entrepreneur and mentor whose journey reflects a remarkable blend of music, faith, leadership and innovation. Born on March 17 in Buea, Cameroon, Joel’s musical journey began remarkably early. At just five years old, he started playing the piano, a gift that would eventually develop into a passion for worship and music ministry. His early years saw him perform with the Mount Cameroon Men’s Choir while also serving within local music communities.
As his passion and calling developed, Joel became involved with groups including MJ Klan and HOFAN, experiences that helped him refine his ministry and musical identity. He later signed with France-based OSU Productions, further expanding his reach as an artist.
Musically, Joel is known for blending contemporary gospel with rich Cameroonian rhythms. His discography includes songs such as “Eringo,” “HLB,” “Brenda,” and “KOD,” with “Most High” among his anticipated upcoming releases. But for Joel, music extends beyond performance. He is also the co-founder of The Bridge, a worship and discipleship initiative created to help connect people to God.
Beyond the music stage, Joel has built an impressive professional career in technology and project management. Now based in the United States, he works as a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), handling complex technology initiatives at Philadelphia International Airport. His professional journey demonstrates another dimension of his leadership—combining technical expertise with creativity, strategy and purpose.
Joel is also the leader of Mbock Global Venture LLC, an enterprise focused on artist development, music education and business consulting. Through this platform, he continues to invest in people and create opportunities that go beyond his own career.
His story is equally rooted in family and faith. Joel is married to Brenda Mbock, who inspired his 2025 single “Brenda.” In April 2026, the couple welcomed their son, Lauren-Jason. Fatherhood has further strengthened Joel’s desire to build, empower and leave behind a lasting Kingdom legacy for generations to come.
