Family, we are living in times where the Body of Christ desperately needs discernment, wisdom, and a return to Kingdom standards. Recently, a heartbreaking situation unfolded involving a man of God caught in an abomination. While the fall itself is grievous, the response from within the Church has been equally alarming.
Prophet Chris V recently shared a profound, sharp, and deeply necessary perspective on how we, as believers and ministers, should handle such scandals. We believe this message is a vital wake-up call for the Church today.
Please read his exact words below 👇 with an open heart:
We have witnessed a deeply lamentable and heartbreaking image. To see a man of God fall to such an extent is both grievous and regrettable. While it may not entirely surprise some of us given that we have seen it before and history of spiritual battles. Satan wanting to bring every one back to his camp. —it is something that warrants sober reflection and condemnation whenever it occurs.
However, what is most shocking is not just the fall of the prophet; it is the eager visibility given to this shame by fellow pastors, prophets, and gospel blogs, Some things are simply too filthy to be broadcasted. As ministers and believers, our platforms should be reserved for the propagation of good news.which is the Gospel. If it does not edify the Body of Christ, it should not be amplified by our voices.
The Principle of Silence: "Tell It Not in Gath" When King Saul fell disgracefully on the battlefield, it was a moment of absolute shame for Israel. Yet, notice the immediate response of David:
"Report it not in Gath, proclaim it not in the streets of Ashkelon, lest the daughters of the Philistines rejoice, lest the daughters of the uncircumcised exult." — 2 Samuel 1:20
David understood that exposing the shame of Israel’s anointed leader would only give the enemy cause to mock God. By parading this scandal on our social media pages, we are handing ammunition to the world to make a mockery of the Church. We have become communicators of bad news rather than heralds of the Good News.
The Tragedy of Internal Warfare and Self-Righteousness
Regrettably, the Church is currently plagued by internal warfare. We see pastors hating prophets, and ministers fighting over titles, influence, and jealousy. There is a toxic culture of waiting for a brother to stumble just to broadcast his downfall.
Many who rush to "correct" are acting in deep hypocrisy. Scripture warns us against this self-righteous judgment:
"Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye." — Matthew 7:5
We see a generational divide where some older leaders, bitter over their own shortcomings, resent the younger generation, while some young ministers show utter disrespect to the fathers who labored before them. The truth is, many are backslidden while still standing behind the pulpit.
Knocked Down, But Not Knocked Out: The Path to Restoration
According to the standards of the Kingdom, what should happen to a fallen brother? Should we bury him? Should we execute him with our tongues? Or should we seek his deliverance and restoration?
The Bible is clear: a knockdown is not a knockout.
"For a righteous man may fall seven times and rise again, but the wicked shall fall by calamity." — Proverbs 24:16
Our mandate is not to expose and kill the wounded; our mandate is restoration.
"Brethren, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, considering yourself lest you also be tempted." — Galatians 6:1
To those who will claim I am defending this abomination because I am "just like him"—let them speak. My track record speaks for itself. By God's grace, I have delivered native doctors, broken altars, and burnt charms. No one can lay a valid claim of compromise against my ministry in that area. But I do not boast in this, nor does it give me the right to share garbage and celebrate another man's ruin.
Yes, a man of God was caught in an abomination with a native doctor. That is a tragedy. But an equally devastating abomination is seeing fellow prophets in Cameroon turning this tragedy into content for traffic and clout.
Let us return to a place of vigilance, soberness, and love. Let us pray for the deliverance and restoration of the fallen, rather than acting as the executioners of our own army.
From Prophet Chris Vewusi
_______
Powerful truths. As Prophet Chris V so accurately pointed out, our mandate as the Church is not to become executioners of our own army, nor should we turn a brother's downfall into content for clout and traffic. When one part of the Body hurts, the whole Body suffers. Let us stop handing ammunition to the world to mock our God.
May we shift our focus from broadcasting shame to praying for deliverance, guarding our own hearts, and seeking true Biblical restoration.
