Dr. Mokake Fidelis Esue is a proud son of the soil, a Bakwerian born in Buea, who grew up in the neighborhoods of Bokwai and Molyko where his parents lived.
Today, he serves his community at the highest academic level as a Lecturer in the Faculty of Science at the University of Buea, holding a PhD in Petroleum Geology and Sedimentary Geochemistry.
But beyond his academic success, his life took a defining turn on January 10, 2001. While just a young student in Form 1, he gave his life to Jesus Christ and became born again. By the time he reached Form 5, he met his late spiritual mother, who helped him discover his true purpose in life, prophesying that he would become both a doctor and a preacher of the gospel.
As he walked with his spiritual mother, they went deep into rural areas for evangelism, preaching the word of God day and night. The heavy burning desire to start massive crusades came from a deep, emotional encounter with her. Years back, she had attended a crusade where the great Evangelist Reinhard Bonnke prayed for her and gave her a mandate to go out, hold crusades, and win entire communities for God. Because of marital commitments, she struggled to carry out this heavy task.
Recognizing the call of God on her spiritual son, she looked at him and said, "God has called you as a Doctor and an Evangelist, so I will pray for you." She then went into a 40-day fast twice just to pray for his crusade ministry.
Even before this spiritual mantle was passed down to him, a deep pain and burden for his own people consumed his heart. Dr. Fidelis desperately wanted to see his family members, friends, and brothers in the village receive salvation and become born again.
This burden was so strong that he committed himself to weekly fasting and prayers for six solid years, constantly crying out to God for his family and village. During this prolonged season of seeking God's face, the Lord spoke to him clearly, instructing him to start hosting crusades right in his own village.
Obeying that divine voice, Dr. Fidelis founded the annual Christ Gospel Outreach crusade. For 10 unbroken years now, this life-changing crusade has been holding in the village. To the glory of Jesus Christ, the fruits are clear for everyone to see: countless souls have been saved, the heavy powers of darkness holding the land back have been broken, and the true light of God has penetrated the community.
This is only a small part of his story, as there is still so much more to say about what God has done through him.
In total, Dr. Fidelis has been actively doing the work of evangelism for over 2 decades. In the earlier days, he could be seen walking the streets of Buea, passionately preaching the gospel alongside God’s servant, Apostle Nf Roland. He has remained faithful to this call, and the flame is burning even brighter.
The next edition of the Christ Gospel Outreach - CGO crusade is coming up powerfully this year. The land is ready, the heavens are open, and it is time for everyone to get ready to experience the raw power of God.
