Menda Prosper Nying, professionally known as Prosper Menko, is a Cameroonian-born Gospel music minister, worship leader, recording artist, mentor and creative whose ministry is centered on communicating the message of Jesus Christ through music, worship and creative expression.

Originally from Oku in the North West Region of Cameroon, Prosper’s journey in music began with a passion for singing that gradually developed into a deeper calling to use his gift for ministry. For him, music is more than performance. It is a platform for expressing faith, communicating the Word of God and touching lives.

Over the years, Prosper has become a recognized voice in contemporary Cameroonian Gospel music, with his ministry reaching audiences beyond Cameroon. His growing influence earned him nominations at the All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) in the Best Male Artist in African Inspirational Music category in 2017 and 2018. In 2018, he was also named Artist of the Year at the EMMI Awards.

His ministry journey has taken him to different platforms and countries, where he has shared stages with renowned Gospel ministers including Sinach, Joe Praize, Eben, Martin PK, TB1, Chris Shalom, Ada Ehi and Frank Edwards, among others. He has ministered across more than four continents, carrying the Gospel through worship, concerts, conferences and ministry gatherings.

His music catalog includes songs such as “Winner,” “Holy Ghost Party,” “Belle Weh,” “In Christ Alone,” “So in Love,” “Feyin Oh,” and “K.O.D (Keeps On Doing)”, as well as the 2026 “Belle Weh (Remix)” featuring Minister Etta.

In 2026, Prosper joined fellow Gospel minister Joel Mbock for the collaborative song “My Side,” featuring Ronnel Valerie, Prophetic Minstrel, Briwanda and Graham Ngala. The collaboration reflects his growing passion for bringing different ministers and creative voices together around the Gospel.

Beyond his music, Prosper is deeply committed to mentoring and developing the next generation of Gospel ministers and creatives. His approach is built on the conviction that spiritual depth and excellence should grow together. He has been involved in vocal development, worship leadership, music ministry training, live production, audio production and creative direction.

As a creative professional with a background in graphic design, photography, cinematography and media production, Prosper brings together music, ministry and creativity in a unique way. He has also served as an Ambassador for the Mulema Gospel Music Competition in 2025 and 2026, contributing to the discovery and development of emerging Gospel talent in Cameroon.

Today, Prosper Menko the Minister represents more than a recording artist. He is a worshipper, mentor and creative committed to raising a generation of ministers who are spiritually grounded, creatively excellent and intentional about their calling.

His journey continues to carry one central conviction: music ministry must go beyond the stage. What people see publicly should flow from a life of devotion, discipline and genuine relationship with God.
