A powerful and timely message from Apostle Ade to every pastor, prophet, and preacher in Cameroon and beyond!
It's time to stop treating Christian bloggers and digital media ministers as tools for brand promotion, and start treating them as valuable members of the Body of Christ.
I sincerely have a question for the men of God in Cameroon and for every preacher from Cameroon, whether you are within Cameroon or outside the country:
Today, ministry has become a brand. You want your message posted. You want your crusade promoted. You want your videos circulating everywhere. You want the blogger to carry your ministry on their platform and help people know your name
But how many of you have ever picked up your phone and said:
“My son, my daughter, I see what you are doing. May God strengthen you. Let me pray for you.”
Some of these Christian bloggers have been posting your ministry for years. They have helped spread your messages. They have given your work visibility. Yet you can sit in your office, see everything they are doing, and never once call to encourage them.
But when you need promotion, suddenly the blogger becomes important. And sometimes, instead of appreciating them, you want to advise them.
My question is simple: What advice can you give to someone you have never even taken time to pray for?
Not every blogger wants your money.
Sometimes they simply want encouragement from the man of God they respect. Sometimes they want you to speak a word over their life. Sometimes they want to hear, “Keep going. God sees your work.”
That word can carry somebody through a very difficult season.
There are big pastors and prophets in Cameroon who have seen the work Christian bloggers are doing.
They know these people have been supporting ministry for years. Yet they have never picked up the phone to pray for them or speak into their lives.
Then when the blogger says something you don’t like, suddenly you have plenty to say.
Men of God, please, learn.
The fact that somebody is a Christian blogger does not mean God cannot use them. God can use a preacher, a singer, a media person, a blogger, a camera operator, or an ordinary believer to accomplish His purpose.
Some bloggers are exposing wrongdoing. Some are sharing the Gospel. Some are correcting things that need correction. Some are simply using the platform God has given them.
Don’t only remember them when you need publicity.
And please don’t treat them as tools for building your brand.
They are people. They have hearts. They have struggles. They need prayer too.
If you can spend money paying television stations to promote your ministry, you can also spend five minutes calling the Christian blogger who has been supporting you for years and praying for them.
You don’t always have to give them money.
Give them honor. Give them encouragement. Give them prayer. Give them a word of life.
Jesus said, “Whoever receives a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet’s reward.” Matthew 10:41.
My name is Apostle Ade, and I am saying this because somebody needs to say it.
Men of God in Cameroon, repent. Change your attitude. Put pride down.
If this truth hu-rts you, don’t fi-ght the messenger. Go back to God and ask Him why the truth is hur-ting.
And to every Christian blogger who has been faithfully serving, even when nobody called your name:
God sees you. God knows your labor. Your work is not invisible.
May God send people into your life who will not only need your platform, but will also remember to pray for you.
And to the big pastors and prophets:
Pick up your phone. Call the blogger. Pray for them. Speak life over them. Encourage them.
You may discover that the person you thought was only helping your ministry was also somebody God wanted you to help. Let us stop building ministries while breaking the people who help carry them.
If the truth makes you uncomfortable, let it push you toward repentance not bitterness.
