What lasting good have you done for the youth of Cameroon? What legacy have you left for the regions of this nation and for your own community? When history remembers your time in office, what will the people proudly point to?
For years we have been told that the youth are the leaders of tomorrow, yet countless young people have lost hope. Many are unemployed. Many have fled the country. Many have become refugees. Others have d!ed in a confl+ct that has left villages deserted, homes abandoned, and families shattered.
The North West and South West have carried unimaginable pa!n. Mothers have bur;ed their children. Fathers have lost their families. Children have grown up without peace. Depr3ssion, fear, and displacement have become the daily reality of thousands.
In the midst of all this suffering, it is heart_breaking when government leaders appear to focus their energy on restricting churches instead of restoring peace, prøtecting lives, and rebuilding brøken communities.
If there is strength to regulate places of worship, should there not be even greater determination to end the blo+odshed, create opportunities for the youth, and bring hope to forgotten communities?
Honourable Minister, as you carry out the responsibilities of your office, I respectfully ask you to remember that the very life you have, the breath in your lungs, and the authority you exercise are gifts from God.
No human position is permanent. Every office is temporary, but God remains eternal. If your actions bring you into confl+ct with the Church, take time to reflect prayerfully and seek God’s wisdom. This is not a message of ha;tred, but a sincere call to repentance, humility, and reverence before the One who gives life to every person.
Leadership is not measured by the authority to issue decrees. Leadership is measured by the lives that are prøtected, the têars that are wiped away, and the future that is secured for the next generation.
Power is temporary. Every public office will one day come to an end. Every leader, regardless of position or title, will one day stand before God to give an account for how authority was used. That reality should humble every person entrusted with the responsibility of governing.
Cameroon is ble+eding.
Its villages are empty.
Its youth are scattered across the nations.
Its families are crying.
Its future is wøunded.
This is not the Cameroon our parents dreamed of. This is not the Cameroon our children deserve.
My prayer is not for revenge, but for repentance, wisdom, justice, and compassion. May God touch the hearts of those in authority to pursue peace, prøtect innocent lives, and rebuild broken communities.
Cameroon does not need more fear. Cameroon needs healing. Cameroon does not need more division. Cameroon needs justice. Cameroon does not need more tears. Cameroon needs leaders who will value human life above power.
May God have mercy on Cameroon, guide its leaders with wisdom, and bring lasting peace to the nation. 🇨🇲
