Apostle Johnson Suleman reacts to the lies, and hypocrisy against Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor).

Apostle Johnson Suleman, the Senior Pastor of Omega Fire Ministries has reacted to allegations of religious extremism leveled against Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor by the Supreme Islamic Council of Nigeria.

In a statement signed by his Media team led by Rev Olu Martins the Apostle addressed critical issues that affect religious tolerance and the spike in k!!llings across the Nation.

Apostle Suleman was responding to a letter dated 28th June 2026, signed by one Abbas Jimoh who wrote on behalf of the Supreme Islamic Council of Nigeria.

In the said publication, Mr Abbas pretentiously or maliciously refers to the former C.A.N chairman as being an extremist, a claim we as Christians find not only berserk but also bizarre.

For emphasis sake it is firstly imperative to state that the death of any Nigerian whether Muslim or a Christian bothers us as clergymen because we are first humans before we are religiously inclined.

Secondly, the said interview on channels Television where the Highly Esteemed former C.AN president was interviewed was more about governance and the leadership of the nation than it was about religion and religiousity.

The allusions to religious activities were in particular reference to how it bothers on the living conditions of Nigerians especially in the face of religious tolerance and the danger it poses to lives and properties.

It is trite that almost all if not all of the references the clergyman made in that interview with regards to insecurity whether it is about insurgency, herder/farmer clashes, banditry and kid-nap, insurgency and terrørism just to mention a few are mostly connected to Islam and Muslims.

If we want to be honest with ourselves and not play the ostrich, we should be asking ourselves if we have ever seen any of such heinous crimes take place in the name of Jesus Christ or the God that Christianity proclaims.

Whether by coincidence or conviction it seems like those who have condemned themselves to klllling people in churches or mosques find it convenient to call the name of Allah before carrying out their dastard crimiiinal demonic actions.

This coincidence of islamizing the above listed criiimes should rather be the concern of the Islamic council of Nigeria instead of scapegoating and name calling.

Unfortunately anytime people want to go ballistic with the aim of employing diversionary tactics, they pander to ethno-religious sentiments as a way to curry emotional attention at the expense of truth and bare faced reality.

Abbas Jimoh and his co-travellers should leave Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor alone and instead explain why the nation's woes surrounding insecurity have suddenly found a cover in Islam and mostly among Muslims.

The Islamic council of Nigeria should embark on massive orientation and re-orientation aimed dissociating Islam from crimes committed in the name of Allah and promoting religious tolerance and accommodation rather stoking the embers of disunity or gaslighting the already fragile state of religious balance.
