If I were to be this apostle, I will not only apologise, I will look for any other way to show that I am really sorry...
The Bible didn't say he that win soul is bold...
It didn't say he that win soul is powerful...
It didn't say he that win soul is strong...
Neither did it say he that win soul is a hero...
It only said he that win soul is WISE...
I am talking to the generation coming behind us... Please, in your bid to win soul and you realise that there was no wisdom in it, please, retrace your step back and apologise...
People might call you cowdard but before God you are a saint...
Jesus is not only the power of God... He is also the wisdom of God...
Power of God can motivate you to speak the truth without minding if you are insulting someone old enough to be your father but the Wisdom of God will restrict you, so that, even while speaking the truth, you will not insult the person...
That is why I am worried each time I see my brothers online that think that reformation is the same thing as social activism where people carry placard and be shouting: 'We no go gree... We no go gree ...'
If we have to insult to pass across the truth, then, we only know the letter that killeth, we are yet to know the spirit that gives life...
Many of us that are so burdened by the unscriptural practices in the church today are genuine about our burdens to win souls... But are not wise in our expressions...
After speaking the truth and people starts insulting us in the comment section and we are busy insulting them back... Trust me, we only know the written truth... We are yet to know the Truth as a Person...
That's why it's as if some of those who started singing the song of reformation caused more confusion and division in the Body... Because the Truth we spoke has not yet produced brokenness in us...
I don't believe this man of God is a coward because he apologised...
I don't believe he wanted to go viral and thats why he made that video...
A generation that sees apologies as cowardice still have a long way to go in the school of Fire...
I know that people are happy with us, that out of many people, that we are the only persons saying things others are afraid to say...
But, are we speaking the Truth for people to clap for us that we are bold or are we speaking it for people to encounter the Light and reposition themselves to serve Jesus better?...
Friends, when the Fire of Jesus will sit on this truth that we speak, it would be obvious to us all that we have a long way to go...
If you are close to this apostle, please, send him a message and encourage him for choosing wisdom over boldness...
Appreciate him for choosing brokenness over madness...
You may not have idea the impending shame his apology has saved the Body of Christ...
I want to appreciate him... His wife... His ministry partners... His members... And all his friends... For not motivating him to take the route of pride...
I am sure he has enough friends that would have told him to continue with the case in court, instead let them pull their legal connections to defend him in court...
And by that, bloggers and content creators would see more things to keep posting, adding salt and pepper, , all to the rubbish the gospel in Nigeria...
May Jesus increase his ministry and for his shame, may God give him double...
