How I Encountered My Father, Apostle Johnson Suleman
It is written:
Isaiah 51:1-2 KJV
"Hearken to me, ye that follow after righteousness, ye that seek the Lord: look unto the rock whence ye are hewn, and to the hole of the pit whence ye are digged. Look unto Abraham your father, and unto Sarah that bare you: for I called him alone, and blessed him, and increased him."
This scripture is a cry from God to His sons, an admonition for them to look up to their fathers, as the fathers are the rocks from which they have been carved!
Today, I want to reflect on my journey into this great grace, of which The Lord has been merciful unto me and made me a partaker thereof !
In the month of September 2009, five months after the Lord Jesus appeared to me in a vision and spoke to me about His calling, plans, and purposes for my life, I came across the Man of God, Apostle Johnson Suleman, on ACBN, a Gospel Channel where he had a daily broadcast called Voice of Fire at 7:30 pm. The first day I watched him, a fire burned in my heart, and that same night, I saw him in a vision where he prayed for me and taught me about the ministry of prophesying.
From that time, I began following his program daily. Sometimes, I would wait from 4 pm until 7:30 pm for his program. Once, I traveled to another city to my aunt's house, and she didn't have a satellite dish, but her neighbors did. So, I often went to the neighbors' house and even helped with their chores so that I would not miss Voice of Fire!
Every time I watched him, there was always an impartation of spiritual fire that stirred me up to give myself more to the ministry of prayer and the Word.
A time came when my hunger could no longer be satisfied by watching just 30 minutes of his ministration. So, I gathered all the money I had saved from doing odd jobs and hustling for over five months, which amounted to about 23,000 frs. I went to the market and bought all his messages that I could find on CD.
I returned, locked myself in, and for over a month, I went through all the messages, over 100 of them. I listened to them all and rewatched them again.
Finally, in September 2012, I gathered all the money I had in the ministry and left for Nigeria. When we arrived, it was a fire night service, and while the Apostle was ministering, I was in tears. The signs, wonders, miracles, and prophetic dimensions left me in awe. The next day, my friends and I went to book an appointment to see him. When we got there, there were over 1,000 people seeking appointments. Seeing the crowd, we decided to leave. But when I got to church, I saw the sanitation department cleaning the church, so I joined them. Afterward, when I returned to the hotel, I had an open vision where a man appeared to me and said, and I quote, "You will see Papa tomorrow!"
Then came Sunday service. When he was ministering, he walked straight to me, prayed for me, and said, "God says I should father you. See me after the service."
After the service, I went to meet him, and then suddenly, the personal assistant came and said to all those waiting, over 100 of us, "The Apostle is tired now and cannot see anyone else." When we stood up to leave, suddenly we saw him coming down the stairs from his office and pointing at me, saying, "You come and see me."
When I went and met him, he prophesied to me about my wife, who at that time was my fiancée, calling her and speaking the mind of God concerning our marriage and the ministry. Then I knelt down and presented my sacrificial seed that I had saved for a while, which amounted to 30,000 Naira, and that was my last money. I didn't even have enough for transport to return to Cameroon. When I gave it to him, he said, "God will honor you," and then he laid his hands on my eyes and ears, declaring that they are opened to the realm of the spirit. As I was about to leave, he called me back, gave me 100,000 Naira for my transport, and I was amazed at how he knew I didn't have enough. As I left his office, I took the money and went to the bookstore, where I bought all his books and messages on CDs that were available. All the money got finished, and I had to borrow money to return to Cameroon. From September to December, I immersed myself in reading all his books and watching those messages,and the fire fell on me.
In 2014, I joined the ushering department of OFM Hq in Auchi, and through my position as an Usher, I have been privileged to Serve My Father closely and this has granted me access to know and have deep things that are reserved only for sons who have become Servants, As a matter of fact, there is nothing I look up to as traveling to Auchi during Programs to Serve as an Usher !
From that moment, the God of Apostle Suleman has been so gracious to me. And he magnified His Mercy And showed Me His Lovingkindness by Moving His Bondservant Apostle Johnson Suleman to come Minister for us in Kumba in the Month of October 2024 in an unprecedented Crusade, that was marked by incredible, signs, wonders and extra ordinary Miracles done by God by the Hand of His Servant, it is worthy to note that this Crusade was attended by over 40,000 people and over 8000 documented people received Jesus as their Lord !
Now this is more than a dream come true, imagine, that barely 14 years ago I used to do manual labour to raise money and buy the Messages of Apostle Johnson Suleman, now in the same town, Apostle Johnson Suleman came to Minister to us, and actually Ministered on our Church Altar at the Apostolic Gospel Mission during the Ministers Session of the Crusade, this can only be by the will and the grace of God !
Imagine a busy person as Apostle Johnson Suleman, to take out 4 days of his busy schedules to come a small city in Cameroon, traveling for long hours to come and Minister for his children in the Lord !
Blessed be The God of Apostle Johnson Suleman, blessed be Apostle Johnson Suleman!
Today, while pondering on how it all began, I acknowledge that i have been marvelously helped and I am what I am by the grace of God, and this grace was bestowed on me through the mentorship of Apostle Johnson Suleman.
Nevertheless there is still so much for me to learn and earn from My Beloved Father, so Much to lay hold upon through service and sacrifice ! Thus as I look unto the future, I see that the journey ahead is great and the Path is like a light that shines brighter and brighter unto the Perfect Day !
As a Partaker of the Grace of God Apostle Johnson Suleman i can confidently declare through the Mercies of God that this Covenant relationship established by the Will of Lord Jesus will go from Glory to Glory even as I follow My Father Apostle Johnson Suleman as He follows Christ !
