WHAT IS THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN GRACE AND TRUTH?

John 1:17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ. Read Titus 2:11 -12

One of the factors that have destroyed the ability to internalize the awareness of the anointing in certain believers today is the excessive teachings on extreme Grace. This kind of teaching has made most brethren unable to live on the plain of strong discipline and principles. Today we see many believers who have taken on grace as a reason to continue living a consistent loose life than following hard on God with much personal sacrifice and discipline. Grace introduces us to Salvation but Truth establishes us in the salvation

From the bible Text for today in John 1:17; It will be understood that Jesus Christ brought two basic ingredients of Christianity which are GRACE and TRUTH. Many churches and preachers have held on GRACE at the negligence of TRUTH. They have taught on GRACE with the understanding as if GRACE is a justification to continue sinning. This loose or extreme teaching on GRACE has created the inability of the brethren to actually build themselves up in the anointing they have but constantly they find a way to justify their practical sinfulness.

 

Romans 6:14 says “For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace”. This scripture made it very clear that the reason you must not submit to sin is because you are under GRACE; in other words, Grace is the reason for which you must live right. Unfortunately, this scripture has been taught upside down, today the reason you must continue to sin is because you are under Grace. This is the lie the devil want us to believe because in believing this lie, you cannot be able to internalize the awareness of your anointing rather you will forever live to confess all manner of sin which is a depletion of the anointing in you. 

The excessive hyper grace teaching without the corresponding teaching on TRUTH makes the believer unable to internalize the anointing. There must be a balance on both. The relationship between GRACE and TRUTH must be established to bring about a huge impact in life and ministry. You cannot unleash your potentials and fulfill your purpose when you still grabble with sin consciousness. 

 WHAT IS GRACE AND TRUTH?

Grace is the believer’s advantage based on the finished works of Christ on the cross. According to Titus 2:11 – 12; Grace can be taken as the Person of Christ manifested for the believers as an edge over sin. It is the Person of Christ that teaches us to live right in Christ while TRUTH are the Principles of Christ. It is the teachings of Christ. At Salvation, the believer accepts the person of Christ, then GRACE is released upon him but He needs the Principles and teachings of Christ if he must be sustained in the Salvation. Take away the TRUTH (The Principles of Christ), the believer becomes a worst sinner even after he had believed in Christ. The Extreme Grace teaching makes your salvation vulnerable and your faith in Christ becomes a mockery. While we believe in the finished works of Christ which ushers us into Grace; we need the Principles of Christ which helps us to build a solid life of impact. Grace introduces us to Salvation but Truth establishes us in the salvation. If these relationships are not properly understood, you cannot be able to maximize the anointing of God in you because on regular basis, you will be struggling to justify your sin state instead of running ahead to be accomplished in life.
