Cameroon's Minister of Territorial Administration, Paul Atanga Nji, has warned churches operating without authorization from the head of state to close down immediately.
According to Cameroon's laws, the head of state has the sole authority to grant permission for churches to operate.
"In Cameroon, only the head of state can authorise a church to go operational. So, for those who are operating without a decree from the head of state. I will advise them to close down. Before I get to them, " He said during a press conference in Yaounde.
