A Fathering Apostolic Leader of Unity and Order.
Apostle Dr. Sunday M. Mbote stands as a central apostolic figure in the contemporary history of The Apostolic Church Cameroon TACC, having served as National President from 2021 until his transition from office in December 2025. Prior to this, he functioned as National Vice President, a role that prepared him for the responsibilities of national leadership. As President, he provided strategic direction for the church, overseeing its expansion both within Cameroon and across its international expressions.
Apostle Dr. Sunday M. Mbote will be celebrating plus one on the 4th of July 2026. His rise through the ranks of TACC reflects a life marked by consistency, doctrinal soundness, and long standing service. During his tenure, Apostle Mbote distinguished himself as a leader who combined high level governance with active grassroots engagement. He did not remain confined to national administrative centres but maintained direct contact with the life of the church at the district level, including personal visits.
A defining feature of his leadership is his widely acknowledged role as a spiritual father. Within TACC and beyond, he is frequently addressed in honourable and relational terms such as “Daddy,” reflecting deep affection, trust, and recognition of his covering over ministers and assemblies. He is a man whose leadership is characterized by maturity, unity, and kingdom mindedness, fostering cohesion across a diverse and widespread ecclesiastical body.
Beyond the internal life of the church, Apostle Mbote was publicly recognised as a “21st Century Humanitarian Leader,” a distinction that underscores his relevance beyond ecclesiastical boundaries and points to his engagement with broader societal and community concerns. This recognition situates him not only as a church administrator but also as a figure of social impact and humanitarian relevance.
Apostle Mbote is married to Mama Victorine Mbote and embodies the biblical and apostolic expectation of family leadership within ministry. In analytical terms, he can be described as an apostolic governor, an institutional father, and a system builder, one who successfully integrates administrative authority, pastoral presence, and developmental vision. His legacy within TACC is best understood as that of a unifying leader who sustained the momentum of the church during a significant era of its modern history.
In an age where many are drawn to prominence without process, the life and leadership of Apostle Dr. Sunday M. Mbote stands as a compelling call back to the ancient paths of unity and order. His journey teaches that those who will carry weight in the kingdom must first learn to walk in humility, serve faithfully within established systems, and prioritise the body over personal ambition. In this, his life becomes both a mirror and a mandate that true apostolic relevance is found in building people, preserving order, and labouring for the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
