15 POWERFUL ADVICE FROM ARCH BISHOP BERNARD GOODSON NWAKA TO HIS FELLOW CLERGY MEN ON BUILDING A HEALTHY RELATIONSHIP WITH YOUR CONGREGATION. 

1.Respect your congregation.
2.Don’t castigate your members.
3.Don’t pour out your disappointments on the congregation.
4.Avoid words like if you want you can go God will bring other people better than you.
5.Don’t blame the church for your financial lack or struggles.
6.Don’t speak from the pulpit to the church words like “you don’t pay me well”,remember people come to hear the word they also have problems of their own, such discuss with your leaders. God is faithful he will always provide.
7.Don’t belittle the elders in your church Respect them as your parents.
8.Don’t make a sermon to deal with an individual or group in the church that is defiling the altar.
9.Avoid borrowing money from church members.
10.Don’t be quick to lend money to members because others stop coming to church when they fail to pay. Only lend when you are ready to write it off should you see one struggling to pay.
It’s better to give without expecting it back.
11.Always lead by example in giving to God and contributing to projects.
12.You and your wife should avoid sharing your problems with church members always share such to some one you look to for counsel like your spiritual father or to very senior friends.
13.Don’t force your church to grow .Be patient growth and increase comes from God as you do the right things the bible says some one planted and another waters but God gives the increase or growth.
14.Never share what a member has confided to you in counseling to any one.
15.Remember members are simply volunteers,they can easily find another place to worship therefore respect and honor them.
