Who Is Actual Worship Leader?

Pastor, you are the actual worship leader. Worship is the first priority with Yah (God). Yah (God) made Moses responsible for teaching the Children of Israel how to worship. (Ex 3;12) “…When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you shall serve God on this mountain.” God’s plan was to have Moses lead the Children of Israel to a land that He had promised; a land flowing with milk and honey. However, after delivering the people from bondage Moses was ordered to bring the people to Horeb, the mountain of God, to serve and minister to Him. The priority was to teach the people how to honor and worship our Heavenly Father before they received His promises.

It doesn’t matter who our praise and worship leaders are, the pastor is responsible for teaching the people of God how to worship. The music is important because with every account of a heavenly experience there is music and worship around the throne of the Most High. Yahushua (Jesus) even taught the disciples to pray “…Let it be done on earth as it is in heaven.” The problem is, if people aren’t taught properly how to worship, they may be sincere, but they are likely to be sincerely wrong. We see that when King David tried to recover the Ark of God the first time. (2 Sam 6:3)

The people of Yah (God) must be taught how to properly worship our Heavenly Father. It is the pastors responsibility to make sure that our praise, worship and service to Yah (God) is ministered to Him correctly. Much of our praise and worship in today’s contemporary services are filled with apathy, emotion, and ignorance. (Hos 4:6) “ My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. If the people are not taught how to correctly minister to Yah (God) then our attempts to serve Him become meaningless and worthless.

I encourage pastors to teach on praise and worship and make it a priority in your congregations. I urge pastors to vigorously participate in the praise and worship services. What you pastors do in moderation; the congregation will do in excess. When the people see you lift your hands and sing with joyfulness and gratitude to the Lord you will be demonstrating before the congregation the appropriate behavior in the presence of our God. Thank Yah (God) for the talented singers, musicians and beautiful songs, but ultimately the pastor is the actual worship leader.
Pastor, Yah (God) holds you responsible for the levels quality, accuracy, and the success of the worship experiences in the congregation that you have been appointed and anointed to lead.
