My husband was a teachable person. I remember one time I came to one conference he was organizing and I didn't like what he worn, so he went extra mile to ask me to recommend for him what he should wear next time, even though we were still in a relationship, he was open to receive that correction because I know that some men will not because they don't have that kind of openness. My husband was not good in his English usage, but i was shocked after the conference, he asked me if there is anything i need to correct about him during the conference, I was really feeling somehow to tell him about his English but he was persistent that i tell him, so I told him that he needs to correct his english, and he was open in receiving it, so that is one of the things you need to look out for when choosing someone, is the person teachable or does he have the potential to learn?
Singles, in the bid for looking for the right spouse, understand that the person will not be perfect, the person will not change automatically in marriage, but if the person is willing to learn, he will progressively grow.
Where I was in 11 years is not where I am now, where my husband was in 11 years ago, both his English and other stuffs is not where he is today, so he has progressively change, so change needs time, so far as the person is willing to learn.
