MUSIC MINISTER, THE CHURCH & MINISTRY
THE CHURCH IS THE FAMILY OF GOD
WHAT IS MINISTRY?
No one should be paid to do ministry, because MINISTRY IS THE LIFE WE ARE CALLED TO LIVE IN CHRIST, THIS NEW LIFE IS POWERFUL ENOUGH TO INFLUENCE AND TRANSFORM THE WORLD. So Ministry is not just service through gifts , THE WHOLENESS OF THE CONCEPT OF MINISTRY IS THE CALLING INTO THE LIFE OF CHRIST THAT WE ARE EMPOWERED TO LIVE IN A SHARED ONESS WITH THE FATHER, AND WHEN WE MINISTER THIS LIFE TO THOSE WHO DON'T HAVE IT YET WE ARE RESPONDING TO THE DIVINE VOCATION CALLED MISSIONS.
With this understanding, NO MAN CAN PAY ANYTHING TO RECEIVE THAT LIFE; AND SO NO ONE SHOULD BE PAID FOR MINISTERING THAT LIFE.
WHY ? SIMPLY BECAUSE LIFE IS GIVEN TO YOU SO YOU CAN LIVE IT
WHEN we are talking ministry, let's completely remove every monetary factor. Ministry primarily does not thrive because of money. The ministry we are partaking of is the ministry of CHRIST which we now enjoy and have the vocation to share with others.
●BUT THE CHURCH IS ALSO AN ORGANIZATION
At this juncture, when we respond to the call of ministry in which all sons of God must partake in, we respond with our lives. When we talk of Life, we talk of not just our internal being , but also all that makes life a reality outwardly. (ALL THAT WE ARE AND ALL THAT WE HAVE) . The local church also takes the SHAPE OF AN EARTHLY INSTITUTION, REQUIRING A PERSONNEL, AN ORGANIZATION, FUNDING, ADMINISTRATION AND STRUCTURE WITH A WELL DEFINED VISION. At this juncture, as a local church grows there must be a system that takes care of those who are dedicated to serving full time. (THIS particularly is flexible as realities vary) .
SO IF YOU MUST PAY THOSE WORKING FULLY IN CHURCH AS A PROFESSION, THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT. (This includes musicians, pastors, accountants, cleaners , etc)
● BUT THE INFLUENCE OF THE CHURCH IS WIDE
THE CHURCH MAKES THE DIFFERENCE,
WHILE THE WORLD CHARGES , WE GIVE GRACEFULLY AND GENEROOUSLY✔✅
If we examine our hearts and take away greed , we would know that GIVING IS OUR GRACE CULTURE. We will understand the importance of blessing those who minister their Gifts and services unto us. We are not called to do transactions and business in the brotherhood , we are called to minister GENEROSITY.
You don't want the music minister to use canal devices to manage their Gifts, you don't want them to be in wrong places, great , then the CHURCH WHICH IS A GREAT UNIVERSAL NATION SHOULD CREATE , ENDORSE MORE AVENUES TO SUSTAIN KINGDOM TALENTS & GIFTINGS. "He should not sing in the cabaret , he should not charge , he should not , he should not ? BUT HOW FAR ARE WE FROM THE CULTURE OF GIVING GRAFULLY AND GENEROUSLY TO OUR MINISTERS ? MAYBE WE CONTRIBUTE IN LEADING THEN INTO TEMPTATION
LASTLY THE BALANCE
I always say to my fellow ministers , don't wait for people to give to you, desire to be the giver , desire too to partake in the culture of GENEROSITY. THE WORD OF GOD IS FOR ALL, THERE IS NO PORTION THAT EXCLUDES YOU AS A MINISTER. ALWAYS BE AT THE GIVING END, IF THE ONLY THING YOU HAVE TO GIVE IS YOUR GIFT, PLEASE GIVE IT WITH ALL OF YOUR HEART , THERE IS SOMEONE WHO NEEDS THAT GIFT , AND HE/SHE WILL RESPOND TO IT WITH WHAT YOU DON'T HAVE.
LET GENEROSITY REIGN IN THE CHURCH OF CHRIST.
