I grew up in the church and in a christian home.
The true Christian ways were displayed before us by our folks.
They didn't enter ministry for the money,fame or because education failed them,they entered because of lost souls and burning passion.
Those good old days were good sound systems were not there but they had sound doctrines
Those good old days were people cried during worship without camera not now that we cry and do selfie during worship meetings to pst later.
Those good old days were kneeling down as a pastor was not for the camera but for intimacy with God.
One of the things that marked me was the sacrifice my biological father will do for God not minding if they were profits or not.
Our family moved from one town to another for the sake of the gospel.
We became evangelists by force.
Not now that,while you are in church,your kids are home watching TV and you are okay.
Most at times we wouldn't even complete some classes in school because the call for ministry was sanctioned and my dad needed to move.
Men and brethren I saw passion beyond fame
I saw a man who laid himself a living sacrifice on the alter as the Lord consumed him
We suffered what my dad suffered
We moved when my dad moved
We slept on the floor when my dad slept on the floor.
I saw a man who taught us how to give to the needy of the church not the other way round.
Someone might wonder why I can spend money in the kingdom and repeat same clothes for months...yes we were taught by the early Apostles to find a place comfortable for the Lord before finding a place comfortable for us.
My generation has changed the system,the pastor lives in a duplex while the church rents.
The man of God is the only car owner in his assembly and it is the Lord's doing.
Shame!
Our fathers gave their all without thinking if they had what to eat,call them foolish but this was the gospel that was handed to this funny Generation .
Our fathers didn't fail us,we are failing them.
We saw men who went to villages to share the gospel without any means of transportation and the number of souls that were won was their success in ministry not my generation who seeks to travel from plane to plane and post it on social media and we celebrate that for success.
My generation of believers think hinterland ministry is for the broke Christians.
Do you know how many unbelievers we have in churches today ? Not first timers but on the alter and some are singing in the choir.
Our churches are full of wolves in sheep clothings .
A man with two wives is an elder because of his tithing capacity.
Holy living has been sacrificed on the alter of money.
Pastor's wive Condone with her co-wives in church because they are financial pillars .
Mama, keep covering your husband,one day you will be held accountable.
What a church...as the man of God or the god of men walk in,during praise they stop praise to welcome papa.
Who exactly are we worshipping then?
How come in my generation our papa's have become more relevant than the Jesus that called them?
We hear of music ministers having a price tag hiding behind the guise of I spent money to grow
Pastors collecting a fixed amount to preach the gospel.
What if Jesus placed a price tag on salvation ,who could pay?
Let's fear God my generation!
Members get poorer while pastors get richer
When last did you hear a preacher shouting from the alter saying ...repent?
Oh yes...you reading, in your assembly,when last did you hear your pastor preach that?
When last did you hear a man of God screamed and wept on the alter for the souls of men?
It's a generation were alter call at the end of the service is not because we truly preached repentance but it is to fulfill all righteousness and to enlarge the number of our cartel.
In those good old days when denominations didn't matter ,those days when the gospel of salvation was still the main matter not the gospel of loyalty and satanic submission ,Christianity was sane.
Oh God,help us
You think he will call you worker of iniquity on the last day though you worked for him because you were fake?
No...it will be because you worked for a man who wasn't walking with you.
Dear sir and ma,take out some time and see if God is still walking with you
We are more concerned about how many people were in church on sunday not how many are being prepared for heaven.
Someone said to me,the goal is not heaven...please what is the goal?
A church were even Jesus is scared to attend service cus the brother on the right is sleeping with the sister on the left and the pastor is aware but he needs numbers.
In this generation, just drive the good car,have population and watch how many sons come under you
Just sound high in revelations and travel to a few nations and watch how many long to be connected to you without seeking to know if you still have your soul intact .
I fear we are the reason Christ hasn't come yet,not for this church.
I am guilty ,we have made him to tarry more .
Our sins are plenty...God help us
Iniquity is called weakness
Manipulation is called loyalty
Merchandise is called fundraising
Arrogance is called revelation.
A time were spiritual fathers cover spiritual sons and spiritual sons cover spiritual fathers and the iniquity continues .
A time has come that some of us need to drop the mic and enter the secret place to be cleansed because some members are more healthy spiritually than us on the alter.
Mama, a time has come that you need to open up so your husband can be free from that iniquity,stop covering wickedness in the house of God.
That's not what makes you a good wife.
Sister in the choir,seize from the alter and go back to your closet to find true peace
Forget about how they celebrate you,forget about how much accuracy you have,forget about how many are following you,on that day all of these won't matter,retire into the secret place and find peace for your soul.
Stop fooling yourself on social media with fans,check your soul.
It is time to go back.
God help us!
