DON'T USE GRACE TO COVER SIN. YOU MAY FALL INTO SIN BUT DON'T REMAIN IN SIN.
AS A CHURCH, WE MUST REJECT ANY CIVILIZATION THAT DOES NOT PROMOTE MORALITY.
PEOPLE HAVE LEGALIZED REASONS FOR LIVING IN SIN. DON'T ENTERTAIN SIN IF YOU DON'T WANT GOD TO WITHDRAW HIS GRACE FROM YOUR LIFE.
- Excerpt From Bishop David Abioye's Message On FRAGRANCE OF GRACE At Special Communion Service || 16th February 2025
The ev1l of our generation is that people enjoy sin. They pretend they don't want it, but they like it. Somebody is touching you in your sensitive part in your office as a woman, "Oga, I don't like it." You like it, if you don't like it, your red eyes will come out. "Take your job, don't destroy my destiny". We have legalized reasons for living in sin. "If I don't do it, I'll lose my job." Between losing your job and losing your life, which do you prefer? Don't legalize sin, don't entertain sin. You may say "This Person has this degree, he has this degree, but his problem is that he's a forn1cator." The last statement has eroded every other thing. Let us never allow modernization to erode morality. Today, there are legal reasons why people live in sin. With increase in knowledge comes civilization and civilization comes with a lot of immoral things. That's why any civilization that does not promote morality should be rejected by the Church. Say a loud Amen! Don't joke with God oh! God has no special treatment for anyone. You want Him to withdraw His grace from your life? Step into sin. Don't use grace to cover sin. You may fall into sin but don't remain in sin. How? Repentance, genuine repentance. "Lord, I have sinned, forgive me!"
