UNDERSTANDING THE PROPHETIC- Ephesians 4:11.
There are too many people who are not prophets but are teaching about the prophetic ministry. And this has given rise to prophetic misconceptions. A lot of erroneous teachings have made people condemn and doubt the impact of the prophetic ministry, and most of these erroneous teachings are by people who are not prophets or prophetically gifted. Imagine a carpenter attempting to explain the treatment process of a medical doctor. It will lead to errors.
There are numerous instances where you see pastors, teachers, apostles who don’t have any prophetic gifts preaching and teaching people erroneously about prophets and the prophetic ministry. This has made many people criticize, condemn, demonize and antagonize the prophetic manifestation of genuine prophets. It is most common to hear people call a genuine prophet fake because they see him display a depth of prophetic manifestation beyond their logical comprehension or religious disposition. This is as a result of errors preached about prophets by non-prophets.
You must understand that prophets and the prophetic ministry belong to the fivefold ministry as much as others. And not everybody is called to be a prophet, and not everybody understands the move of the prophetic according to God’s ordinances. No wonder scripture: And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers. For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ. Ephesians 4:11-12.
God Himself set the prophetic ministry as an avenue to access the mind of God for humanity, reveal hidden things and bring Divine solutions in humanity. No man can deemphasize the purpose and impact of the prophetic, neither can any man annul the advancement of the prophetic ministry, no matter the erroneous teachings against prophets. As a child of God be wise, and don’t let non-prophets teach you errors against the prophetic ministry just to annihilate your prophetic destiny. Also, understand that it is not everybody that is assigned to prophesy to you. And not everybody should teach you about the prophetic ministry. Find your prophet and have prophetic focus.
I prophesy, your prophetic destiny shall not be destroyed by erroneous teachings against the prophetic. In Jesus name.
